Honouring Our Past, Preserving It for the Future
The Village of Kisbey is built on the stories, struggles, and successes of those who came before us. From early settlers to community pioneers, the legacy of the past shapes who we are today. Through dedicated heritage and historical projects, the Village works to celebrate, preserve, and share the rich cultural roots that define our region.
Our Heritage at a Glance
Founded in 1907, the Village of Kisbey has deep roots in Ukrainian, Polish, and French settlement. Generations of farmers, craftspeople, educators, and volunteers have helped shape a resilient and proud prairie community.
Current & Ongoing Projects

We’re collecting and preserving the personal stories, letters, and photographs of founding families. These stories are featured in local museum.
Heritage Site Mapping
An ongoing project to identify, document, and map historical buildings, landmarks, and homesteads throughout the municipality at our local museum.
Heritage Gallery
Photos and artifacts from throughout the decades are displayed at the Village of Kisbey museum and during special events. Contributions from the community are always welcome!
How You Can Get Involved
We invite residents and descendants of early settlers to contribute stories, photos, or volunteer time toward heritage projects.
